Always a bridesmaid.

My father is getting re-married this weekend. I must say I am quite excited - his fiance is lovely! I will be a bridesmaid (and have yet to purchase a dress..) The color palatte is "black, ivory, with a touch of crimson." All the bridesmaids will be wearing black cocktail dresses, but we can choose any style we like.

The ceremony will be taking place in Nashville, at the Hermitage.

Guests will be staying at the Hutton Hotel

The reception will be at Giovanni's. They are serving adorable cupcakes!

I tried forever to find a picture of her wedding dress to no avail. It is a strapless ivory gown by AKRIS. Unique and stunning. Her shoes are ivory Christian Louboutin pumps. She already owned some brilliant vintage emrald and ruby canderleir earrings that are perfect with her dress. She will be so beautiful!

This last week has been a whirlwind of tests, family tension, stress and...well a few really fantastic moments mixed in there. How has your week day been?

While shopping the other day I ran into this beautiful ruffle confection. I have a blouse by the same brand, MM Couture, and it has become one of my wardrobe staples. If I wasn't trying to save up for New York shopping I would have bought it on the spot!

Here's one of my sketches from an old Nylon cover. Considering my lack of experience I think it turned out quite nicely. It doesn't look quite the same scanned but it will have to do. You should see her shirt in color! Stunning.

Spring Fever.

I have been quite preoccupied lately! Ah, but there is always time for fashion.

I must admit that as of lately I have been less than inspired with a lot of things I have seen coming out for spring. My prom dress hunt seemed it would epically fail..

With my latest trip to Nordstrom, my hope in fashion has been revived! Everywhere I turned I saw things that looked like they belonged to a fairytale princess... a very hip, sophisticated one at that.

I have been head-over-heels with nearly EVERYTHING Marc has been revealing lately. For instance, the Marc by Marc Jacobs number above, evokes the feeling of spring in every sense of the word.

Love Story.

I was browsing Nordstrom's a few days ago when I encountered this stunning Marc Jacobs clutch. There it was, sitting on it's pedestal in all it's purple glory...I was a hopeless case. The rest of the day I wandered around, looking at all the hopelessly inferior merchandise, hoping to find something even half as thrilling to my fashion taste buds. So here I am, days later, still dreaming of it. But with a price tag of $795, I might as well keep dreaming.
